GHRP-6 (Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide-6) is a synthetic hexapeptide and one of the first commercially available growth hormone secretagogues. It functions as a potent agonist of the ghrelin receptor (GHS-R1a), effectively mimicking the biological activity of ghrelin, the body’s primary “hunger hormone.”

While it triggers a strong pulsatile release of Growth Hormone from the anterior pituitary, GHRP-6 is distinct in the research community for its lack of selectivity compared to newer generations (like Ipamorelin). It is specifically utilized in protocols where drastic appetite stimulation and rapid gastric motility are desired alongside growth hormone secretion. It is the “heavy lifter” of the GHRP family, often researched for its potential to reverse catabolic states.

• Hyperphagia (Appetite Stimulation): GHRP-6 is defined by its ability to induce intense hunger.
